Care Philosophy
Each patient is a whole, unique person. We do not just treat body parts. All medical problems come in the context of your entire life. This includes your social, family, work, mental, spiritual and medical environments. We want to know how to help you as the complete person that you are. .
Holistic medicine is the art and science of healing that addresses care of the whole person – body, mind and spirit. The practice of holistic medicine is focused on optimal health, the prevention and treatment of disease by mitigating causes and is based on the belief that unconditional love is life’s most powerful healer.
Evaluation and Treatment
While still providing routine Gynecological services, we have, in addition, wide experience treating Women’s hormonal and menopausal issues as well as issues related to Men’s hormones, aging, strength and weight gain. Your body’s systems are in constant internal communication and adjustment. To best understand female hormone, male hormone and menopausal issues involves the evaluation of pituitary, ovary, testicle, thyroid and adrenal gland functions. On your initial visit, we will take a complete history and perform any needed physical examination. Hormone testing is performed as needed. While blood testing is usually done, under certain circumstances, salivary or urine testing may be preferred. Follow-up visits and hormone testing are done to ensure your individual balance on any prescribed medications.
We are familiar with all hormone therapies including commercial products available from chain drug stores and compounded medications made by local and national compounding pharmacies. There are many possible choices. We strive to find the solutions that best suit your individual needs and tastes.
